Welcome! I thought about starting this blog with just a simple Hello World but this is becoming very cliche in tech anymore. I think in fact my first website written in HTML in 1996 contained the phrase Hello World. Then from there I moved on to creating sites for Star Wars, Portland Trail Blazers, Orlando Magic, and much more.

I have long wanted to start a blog but didn’t know where I would find the time between work, family, and that ever fleeting free time. I’m a father of a very active toddler, what is free time? I decided now was just as good a time as any. The tech world changes every day- not only in personal tech but in corporate tech as well (albeit at a slower pace). If I don’t start publishing now the tech will change by the time I get a blog set up.

I know there are plenty of sources for your information needs out there, and I am honored that you are at least here reading this blog post. My goal for this blog is to highlight some of the things I find interesting, share some of my experiences from behind the tech front lines (I’m a System Administrator for over 200 users), and experiences bringing technology into everyday life. I often receive questions from friends, family, and coworkers about various tech issues, product recommendations, and opinions. Not to mention some of the good “user” stories I am part of on a daily basis. Don’t worry I won’t share your name.

I hope you will stick with me on this exciting new journey and help me grow along the way. I thank you in advance for your patience as I explore this modern web of blogging, CMS, and social interaction.
